Sun: 11 a.m. until dusk
Description:

This Range hosts Practical Rifle and Shotgun matches every Saturday afternoon. Members can participate in these without having taken the practical rifle and shotgun course under the supervision of an RO.

Except for these scheduled matches, the use of this range is restricted to qualified Practical Rifle/Shotgun Black Badge holders.

 

FIREARMS PERMITTED

Rifles.

Shotguns.

Pistols  (Restricted and Prohibited).

Note: Action rifles and shotguns have priority over handguns on this range.

 

MEMBER QUALIFICATION

Sharon Holster Qualification (Pistol Only).

IPSC Black Badge (Pistol Only).

IDPA (Pistol Only).

To shoot with a rifle or shotgun on this range unsupervised, you MUST have completed an IPSC Rifle or Shotgun Match or a Saturday Club Shotgun or Rifle Match. 

Members may participate in matches held every Saturday afternoon, without being R6 qualified, under the supervision of the match RO.

 

NON-QUALIFIED MEMBERS

Must be under the direct supervision of a qualified member or instructor.

 

GUESTS

Must be under the direct supervision of a qualified member or instructor.

Guests (with the exception of Sharon Black Badge or IPSC qualified guest) can NOT use holsters.

 

BOXING AND UNBOXING

Only at the Safety Tables, facing the rear of the table. 

Firearms must be in a safe condition with actions open, magazines (and all ammunition) removed. 

 

REACTIVE TARGETS

  • Must be properly shrouded at all times. All reactive targets must be approved by the Board of Directors prior to use.
  • Rifles cannot be used on reactive targets on this range.
  • Properly placed reactive targets do not require shrouding if used with shotguns (bird shot 7 ½ - 8). Metal plates and poppers can be used with shotgun shot loads, but the shooter must be at a minimum distance of 12m from the target.

 

ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS

  • Holsters may only be used by qualified members or those undergoing training under the supervision of a certified instructor.
  • Members who are training for specific shooting disciplines such as a Biathlon or 50-Meter 3 Position Rifle, may be authorized to use this Range with the approval from the Board of Directors.
