Description:

FIREARMS PERMITTED

Pistols (Restricted and Prohibited).

Rifles and Shotguns (for Approved Matches Only).

MEMBER QUALIFICATION

IPSC Black Badge.

IDPA Black Badge.

Sharon-Approved Holster Qualification.

NON-QUALIFIED MEMBERS

Not permitted, unless under direct supervision of a certified instructor during an SGC sanctioned course.

GUESTS

Must be both qualified AND under the supervision of a qualified member or instructor.

BOXING AND UNBOXING

At safety tables only, facing the rear of the table.

REACTIVE TARGETS

Reactive targets must be properly shrouded at all times. All reactive targets must be approved by the Board of Directors. SGC shrouds must be used.

ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS

  • Holsters may only be used by fully qualified individuals or those undergoing training under the supervision of a certified instructor.
  • Ammunition is not permitted on the firearm safety tables.
  • The muzzle must never be raised/pointed above the range backstop. This means no “high-muzzle reloads” during practical/action shooting. 
  • Empty mags are permitted for dry fire use at the safety table.
  • Members and authorized groups undergoing training for specific shooting disciplines (e.g., Biathlon or 50 Meter 3 Position Rifle) may do so only under the direction of an RO.
  • Position rifle may be authorized to use this range on Sundays (pistol caliber or 22LR only).
  • Members must remove shot targets and clean up range after use.
