DESCRIPTION

50 Meter Range with 15 shooting bays.  This range is also used when hosting action-shooting competitions.

 

FIREARMS PERMITTED

Pistols - restricted and prohibited

Rifles – Rifles in pistol caliber may be shot from the benches.

-Rifle calibers at the right side bench only (minimum rounds required to get “on paper” only.  Move to R 3 to “zero”)

Muzzle loaders

Shotgun – Bird Shot

Shotgun Slugs - minimum rounds required to get “on paper” only.  Move to R 3 to “zero”

Rifle calibers may be used at the shooting stalls with the Board of Directors approval for instruction courses and approved events.

MEMBER QUALIFICATION

MEMBERS MUST PASS the Sharon Handgun Safety course to shoot handguns on this range.  For exceptions please contact the Board of Directors.

NON-QUALIFIED MEMBERS

Under supervision of qualified member or instructor.

 

GUESTS

Under Supervision of qualified member or instructor.

 

BOXING AND UNBOXING

Only at the Rifle Bench on right side of range, or at the shooting stalls.  FIREARMS MUST FACE DOWN RANGE, be in a safe condition with actions open, and magazines (with all ammunition) removed.

REACTIVE TARGETS

Not permitted unless approved by the Board of Directors

 

ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS

• Holsters may only be used by qualified individuals at the right side of the range next to the rifle bench (not in a stall)
• Reactive targets must be properly shrouded at all times.  Reactive targets must be approved by board of directors.
• The Property Manager will replace the target backing material when the backing can no longer easily hold targets.
• Members must remove shot targets and clean up prior to leaving range.
